The Council Meeting

When King Husein and his council gathered to discuss the problem of King Sallub’s arrival, the palace was buzzing with whispers before the meeting officially began. At that moment, the warrior Harun entered the palace to attend the meeting in his capacity as the commander of the army. As soon as he entered, the palace fell silent, as he was the only one they were waiting for. Harun found a place to sit calmly, then looked at the council members and greeted them all with respect. After they responded, King Husein stood up and said:
"You members of the Nurul Salam council, know that we have not gathered here for any other reason than the problem posed by the arrival of these guests, King Sallub and his people, who are infidels. Their request is to be allowed to continue their journey and leave our city without accepting our religion. They do not want us to preach our religion to them because they know that if their people hear the words of Allah, their hearts may soften and they may accept the truth. Now, they want us to sit and negotiate a peace treaty. I need your advice: on what conditions should we make this peace with them?"
Upon hearing this question, the entire palace fell silent; no one could utter a word, and everyone became lost in thought. Finally, the army commander Harun stood up, cleared his throat, looked at King Husein, and said, "Oh my leader, I have a suggestion..."

Part 2: Lasmal and the Bird (Halsim)

(The text jumps to page 6)
...because of the memory of the face of the warrior Harun, with whom she had fought a fierce battle yesterday. Suddenly, she burst into laughter, which startled her. She began looking around the room but did not see anyone near her on the bed in the form of a bird. Lasmal looked at it angrily and said, "Why are you laughing at me like that? It terrified me!"
Upon hearing this, the bird, Lasmal’s companion, said, "Oh Queen of the World, know that nothing made me laugh except seeing how quickly you have fallen into the trap of love. Haba, Princess, how can it be that there is a young man who has shaken your faith and your aura?" When Princess Lasmal heard this, she felt ashamed and bowed her head, but then she frowned and said, "What I want from you now is to tell me why I didn't succeed against the warrior Harun, even though your spirit entered my body?"
When the bird Halsim heard this question, he remained silent. Then he shook his body and returned to his true form as a jinn. Sweat immediately broke out on his forehead; he sighed and looked at Princess Lasmal: "Oh my leader, in all my life, I have never encountered a problem like I did when I entered your body to fight the warrior Harun. After the fight, I conducted deep research and analysis, but I could not find the reason why I failed to defeat him."

Part 3: The Threat of the Religion

Halsim continued, "Honestly, I am beginning to realize that the religion of this warrior Harun is something of great importance and is quite frightening. We must be very serious if we want to leave this city safely. If we are not careful, we will be forced to accept their religion before we can continue our journey."
Lasmal looked at Halsim and asked, "What is so harmful about their religion that one shouldn't want to accept it?" Halsim replied, "If this religion is accepted, all the magic rituals of your wedding will be destroyed. There will be no more talk of opening the sanctuary of the sorcerer Shardudul Nuzuk. Right now, there is no greater ambition in the world than to enter that sanctuary, because whoever enters it becomes a master of men, and he can rule the entire world."
When Halsim said this, Lasmal smiled and said, "I wish the warrior Harun would enter that competition for my hand; I feel in my heart that he could open the sanctuary of the sorcerer Shardudul Nuzuk and enter it." Upon hearing this, Halsim frowned and let out a terrifying scream that only Lasmal could hear. Startled, Lasmal jumped up on her bed and asked, "Why that scream?" Instead of answering, he laughed, then frowned again and said, "Princess, know that no creature can enter that house, because I myself have tried to enter forty thousand times and failed. If I cannot do it, I don't think any other creature can."

Part 4: King Sallub’s Strategy

Meanwhile, King Sallub and the sorcerer Zuwalil Baharus sat alone early in the morning to discuss their situation. King Sallub asked, "Oh great sorcerer, what news do you bring me regarding the amazing display of heroism my daughter showed yesterday in her battle against Prince Harun?"
Zuwalil Baharus sighed and said, "Oh my leader, know that since I came to this world, I have never conducted a search that yielded so little success as this. My research revealed that all the heroism the Princess showed yesterday was not her own doing. There is a wicked jinn that has entered her body, and that jinn has been following us since we left the city of Malwazi. I tried my best to see the form of this jinn in my magic mirror, but I failed. The most regrettable thing is that this jinn also has the ambition to enter the sanctuary of the sorcerer Shardudul Nuzuk to become a master of men and conquer the world. The question is, does he want to possess the Princess, or is he just helping her?"
King Sallub was deeply troubled. After much thought, he said, "You have brought me news beyond my comprehension. For now, let us leave the matter of this jinn and go back to these humans, King Husein and his people. On what conditions should we negotiate with them?"
The sorcerer smiled and said, "The opportunity has come to our side. We will tell King Husein that we are willing to accept their religion, but on two conditions. First, the warrior Harun must fight your daughter Lasmal again and win. Second, he must also enter the competition for her hand; he must go to the island of Darul Muhuk alone and open that sanctuary. If he succeeds, we agree to accept their religion. Without a doubt, I am certain he will never succeed."
King Sallub was overjoyed and immediately sent a messenger to King Husein to request a meeting that evening for the final peace negotiations. King Husein agreed to the request.

Part 5: Harun’s Lost Shirt and Sharifat

After the council meeting, Harun went to the forest to train. He practiced jumping, striking the air, and swordsmanship until the sun was high and he was drenched in sweat. Tired, hungry, and thirsty, he decided to ride his horse back to town, estimating he would arrive before the afternoon prayer.
He went to the tree where he had hung his shirt, but to his surprise, the shirt was gone. He looked everywhere but saw no one. Feeling embarrassed to enter town without a shirt—especially because of the young women who admired him—he rode his horse through the forest, searching.
Suddenly, he heard a sweet, beautiful voice singing. He recognized the voice as a woman he knew, but because of how she manipulated the sound, he couldn't identify her. The song was describing his appearance and praising him. At first, he thought it was jinn playing with his mind, but then he heard rustling behind him and realized it was a human hiding.
When he confronted the area, Sharifat stepped out from behind a tree, smiling, carrying a water pouch and a food bag, looking very beautiful. Harun was impressed by her beauty, but he was annoyed that she had followed him. Sharifat said, "Come down, eat and drink, then we can go back to town."
Harun replied angrily, "I will not listen to you unless you give me my shirt." Sharifat said, "I will give it to you, but only if you promise not to leave me alone in this forest, and if you come down to eat with me before we go home." Harun, filled with worry and anger... (the text ends here).
